BOO AND BOOK IS BAAACK! After a year break Boo & Book is back on the SCACOC calendar with a couple of additions and minor changes...all for the good! This event is so much fun and very popular with parents and children each Halloween season. All ages up to 12 are encouraged to participate.
Children and parents will gather at the St. Clair elementary school cafeteria at 4:30 for a safety presentation by the St Clair Police Department followed by Boo & Book guidelines including receiving their Boo Bag and Boo Card to use as they travel the Downtown District gathering their treats for the evening. All children MUST be accompanied by an adult. This year's event is designed as a walking event as all treats will be given on Main Street only...Merchants from the Plaza are encouraged to set up at the Round Up lawn area to hand treats out as well...
As everyone finishes, they will make their way back to Springfield Avenue to the St. Clair Library and select their book, get their free hot dog, chips, and juice box along with an iced sweet treat from Dana's.
NOTE: New This Year...There will be a photo op at the gazebo downtown where our participants can get their picture taken and enter the costume contest!

YOU MUST CHECK IN AT THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL BY 5:00 PM TO GET YOUR BOO CARD AND JOIN THE EVENT...THE DOORS AT THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL WILL BE CLOSED AT 5:00 PM...
Location
Meet at the elementary school at 4:30. From there make your way to St. Clair Downtown District with your Boo Cards stopping at the designated businesses listed on your card. Be sure to take advantage of any photo ops along the way and especially the gazebo where you can enter the costume contest. After your stops downtown bring your Boo Card to the library, pick out your book selection, and then find food, drink and a sweet treat ready for you in the parking lot next to the library. HOT DOGS, CHIPS, JUICE BOX, ICED TREATS ARE FREE TO ALL CHILDREN PARTICIPATING IN THIS EVENT. THIS IS MADE POSSIBLE BY DONATIONS FROM BUSINESSES AND INDIVIDUALS IN THE COMMUNITY AND THE ST. CLAIR AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.
Sponsors of this event will be listed on each Boo Card. Bob and Pat's will be doing the grilling and Dana's Shaved Ice and More will be furnishing the iced treats.
