St. Clair Lighted Christmas Parade

NO entries may have a “LIVE” SANTA CLAUS on their float.  Santa will be featured on his own float!

ALL floats  AND vehicles must be lighted with white or colored lights.

ALL entries must be self propelled, motor pulled or horse drawn.

Floats and Vehicles are encouraged to incorporate holiday music.

Units should be constructed and decorated so that viewing from either side is equally appealing.

All entries must have an easily accessible fire extinguisher on the float or towing vehicle, and a kit for repairing minor repairs is recommended!

Generators, converters, and batteries may be used to power lights and sound equipment on floats. The energy source must be large enough to safely provide adequate power to meet the needs of your float.

Floats using gas powered generators must be sure exhaust fumes are safely ventilated to prevent any danger to the float riders.

No one will be allowed to get on or off the floats once the parade starts down the parade route!

In the interest of safety, throwing candy from the floats are prohibited! Each unit may provide walkers to hand out candy etc.

Disposal of float, and vehicle materials is the responsibility of the sponsoring organization and/or individuals.

Parade numbers will be used to identify entries that want to be judged, and must be displayed on both sides of the float or vehicles so that judges can easily see them. Parade numbers will be given upon arrival, judging will take place at the Gazebo on Main St.

ALL float sponsors are responsible for providing all riders and walkers with transportation to their vehicles at the end of the parade route.

Parade route will be as always.   Return to the Gazebo on Main Street the Christmas Caboose lighting and Santa!
